B'nei Mitzvah
B'nei Mitzvot at Kol Sasson
At Kol Sasson, we encourage our pre-b'nei mitzvot to participate in services prior to their actual bar or bat-mitzvah to prepare them for participation in community. To this end, children who are sufficiently familiar with Torah reading and trope may leyn maftir in shul any time prior to their big day.
For those interested in celebrating B’nei Mitzvah with Kol Sasson, please contact our B’nei Mitzvah Coordinator, Judy Sloane at least 6 months prior to the Bar/Bat Mitzvah. This allows the young adult to sufficiently prepare for becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah in our community, and for the family to reserve the space necessary to celebrate the simcha!
