The Skokie Valley/Kol Sasson Youth Groups will be offering childcare over the High Holidays this year. Since our communities have grown, we will need to hire more madrichim and provide more services for our children.  For the first time, we will be charging a nominal rate for this service. Please note, these prices are highly subsidized by the synagogues to keep the cost affordable for our families. Groups will include special activities, snacks, and lunches for the children in our care from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm both days of Rosh Hashanah, and from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Yom Kippur Day, with early drop-off and late stay classrooms. We will be bringing in outside childcare to staff the Kol Nidre services, for children 4 years-old and older, to allow our madrichim to be with their families at that time. We request parents fill out the following registration form so that we can plan accordingly.

Cost is $10/child for Rosh Hashanah, $15/child for Kol Nidrei, and $10/child for Yom Kippur.

Please note, there is no babysitting for Neilah.

For the safety and well-being of our community, we request that families check their children into groups, or plan on having them stay in the sanctuary during services; we cannot have children outside of these two spaces. Our madrichim are working hard to create a safe, warm, and welcoming environment in the classrooms. Please speak with your children about the importance of respectful behavior. We would appreciate all parents' support in ensuring the end of davening is enhanced by our children participating in an active, constructive way by leading the end of davening with the shaliach tzibur.
